​Dr. Joseph Altier is a highly experienced chiropractor with a passion for helping patients overcome pain and achieve better health. He is dedicated to providing individualized care and empowering patients to take an active role in their healthcare.
After graduating in 1991 from Jeannette Senior High School he attended Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. Then attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia, completing his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1999; graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Altier moved back to North Huntingdon, PA to open his private practice in his hometown of Jeannette, PA. He has since been serving the citizens of Jeannette and the surrounding communities for over 25 years with the support of his wife and three children.

Dr. Altier's journey towards becoming a Chiropractor is one filled with passion and commitment; After falling off a fence as a toddler, I walked with a limp for weeks. My parents took me to the medical doctor who said it was a strain and it will heal. Unfortunately, it did not heal. My grandfather, Slim Altier took me to his Chiropractor and after one adjustment I could walk without a limp or pain. I am dedicated to providing holistic care and empowering my patients to improve their health without relying on medications as a first line of defense for musculoskeletal conditions. The body is self- healing, let the power that made the body heals the body -naturally. My practice is low pressure, patients are in charge of their own health. We only get one body so take the best care of it you can. I have an excellent working relationship with the top Orthopedic and Neurosurgeons in the Pittsburgh area, so if your condition is something out of my scope of practice I will refer immediately. Family is core value at Altier Chiropractic. Dr. Altier pledges to care for all patients as if they were a part of his own family, giving them his undivided time and attention. Outside of his chiropractic career Dr. Altier spends the majority of his free time with his wife and their three children, Anthony, Lucas, and Alexa. He proudly attends all of their sporting events and extracurricular activities.
